RAPE!!!!

RAPE :- “A CRIME OR WORSE THAN IT” !!

IS SHE WILL BE NEXT NIRBHAYA OR DR. REDDY?
We all living in 20th century where we talk about the economic growth, technological growth and many other developments for a country as a whole. The government, ministers, and we all take pride when they talk about a country’s growth in investment, wealth, education, health, defence, political, social development and GDP etc. but when it comes to crimes against women such as rape, gang rape, sexual harassment, sexual assault and many more, the word development looks too vague,  and hollow . As number of such serious crimes in our country is increasing day by day, almost in every hour a rape has been committed against a woman or we can say in every hour one woman has been a victim of this crime.

Rape in India is the fourth common crime in India and according to NCRB (National crime records bureau) annual report 2010 shows that total 22172 rapes were committed which means 60.7 rapes per day, 2.53 rapes every hour, and 1 rape in every 23.7 minutes in a country of 1.2 billion people. The same goes with the annual report 2012 there were 24923 rapes were committed. The situation is being worse than worst year by year as this number is still increasing. Even the situation of national capital Delhi is getting so terrified that number of rape cases in 2012 (706) was jump to 2135 in 2018 report by The Times Of India. Many states of India such as Uttar Pradesh (up by 161% in 2015), Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, are also at the top rank in this list. We can imagine the stage of progress we had made.

For a rapist or group of rapist it was just a few moments of eradication his frustration but for a victim this act will makes her life even worse than a hell and in some cases even this can’t be exist. Legally this is a serious crime but according to me this is not just a serious crime but even more than that which cannot expressed in words or for which punishment for death become too small. We have strict rules & regulations in law inspite of this, Such acts are being committed. We have to think what are reasons behind this kind of acts done by the persons living in our society. If we look there are lots of factors responsible for this such as free access to pornsites to everyone, loose implementation of rules & regulations, mental frustration and many others.

Further when a rape or gang rape has been committed against a women or girl it not only that women or girl has to suffered alone but also the family members of such victim has  to suffered a lot in registering a F.I.R. in a police station, the kind of questions asked by police, getting of amount of compensation, their reputation exposed in media by news channels inspite of the fact that it is clearly mentioned in law that in case of rape the name and identity of victim and their family will have to keep secret and sometimes the most painful thing when one political party play blame game over another party, this will make whole incident a political issue rather than a social one.

                                                   NIRBHAYA FUND

A victim of rape has not just to suffer physically, but at the mental level, social level, emotional level in such a worse situation which realizing them that even death is better than life. Being raped by someone is not just the only stain but the kind of taunt done by society is also another type of mental harassment for the victim and also for their family. We in India created so many examples of such victims like #NIRBHAYA Case, DR. Priyanka Reddy, Kathua (Jammu) Gang Rape, Mathura Gang Rape and many more, this shows how we all degrading our country's image in front of world. This is so shameful for every Indian or even for every person. We talk about democracy, unity, freedom, equality as a development factors but when it comes to women safety, I think there is still much more we have to improve.

MORALE :- “STOP REACTION START ACTION”.

No this is not the permanent solution. The problem is not in individual but in their mind.
